Levetiracetam in Sodium Chloride Injection is an antiepileptic drug available as a clear, colorless, sterile solution for intravenous administration. It is available in three 100 mL fill single-dose strengths, each containing a different total dose of Levetiracetam.

  • Packaging color differentiated for each strength in stackable individual unit cartons. 
  • Manufactured in B. Braun Medical, Irvine, California
  • PAB IV Containers not made with natural rubber latex, PVC or DEHP

Contraindication

Known hypersensitivity to levetiracetam; angioedema and anaphylaxis have occurred.

Indication

Levetiracetam in Sodium Chloride Injection is indicated for adjunct therapy in adults (greater than or equal to 16 years of age) with the following seizure types when oral administration is temporarily not feasible:

  • Partial-onset seizures
  • Myoclonic seizures in patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy
  • Primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures
